With 33 years of continuous service at CLM, Cathie is the steady, caring presence at the heart of our firm. She started as the office junior at just 17 and has progressed to her current role as an Associate – Registered Legal Executive and handles estates, property transactions, wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Occupation Right Agreements. Cathie meets with clients personally, provides guidance on sensitive matters, and prepares the legal documents that keep their affairs in order. She has acted for multiple generations of the same families, offering continuity and expertise that few can match.

Cathie’s approach is grounded in empathy and clear communication. She understands the grief that comes with estate work and offers clients a listening ear, a thoughtful response, and even a well-timed hug or discreet box of tissues. She keeps a watchful eye on colleagues, checks in regularly, and fosters a supportive, collaborative environment. People value her ability to get things done efficiently without ever compromising care or professionalism. Cathie cherishes the strong relationships she has built with both clients and colleagues over her decades at CLM.

Every summer Cathie enjoys escaping to her family’s Coromandel bach at Long Bay with her husband and two teenagers, spending their days fishing and swimming in the sunshine. In 2024 she enjoyed her first ever trip to Europe and she’s already plotting her return to Tuscany, Florence, and Austria – no doubt with plenty of gelato stops and scenic detours along the way.
