With over two decades of legal experience, Roann is known for her pragmatic, risk-aware approach and her ability to quickly analyse even the most difficult legal and business situations. She thrives on drafting documents that ensure complex matters work in practice and enjoys seeing the tangible results of her work, such as funding arrangements that become real-world projects like the University of Waikato’s Tauranga campus and Tauranga’s Marine Precinct. Her measured, approachable style ensures clients feel understood, confident and well advised.

Roann is also a skilled mentor, giving CLM’s junior lawyers a helping hand and a clear view of both the legal and commercial landscape. Her analytical mindset and problem-solving skills make her a reliable and trusted presence in our Corporate & Commercial team.

Originally from Te Awamutu, Roann studied psychology before turning to law and remains fascinated by human behaviour. She values spending time with friends and family and enjoys working at CLM for the dream mix of challenging legal work, as well as the great weather and relaxed lifestyle that the Bay of Plenty has to offer.
