Aleyce specialises in all aspects of trust administration, from new formations through to variations, beneficiary changes, gifting, resettlements, AGMs and wind-ups. She also advises on estate planning matters such as trusts, wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney. Much of her time is spent helping clients navigate the Trusts Act 2019, reviewing structures to ensure they remain compliant, effective and true to their original purpose.

Detail-oriented and solutions-driven, Aleyce thrives on spotting opportunities to improve trusts and crafting bespoke documents that make life simpler for clients and trustees alike. Her colleagues know she is the go-to person for precedent documents, and she even won a staff Christmas party award for her vigilance – which, in a room full of detail-obsessed lawyers, is basically like winning gold at the Olympics.

Since joining CLM during the first Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, Aleyce has continued to grow her expertise while maintaining strong client connections. A move to the Manawatū in 2023 brought her closer to family, but thanks to CLM’s flexible approach she continues to work remotely, travelling regularly to Tauranga to stay connected with our team.

At home, Aleyce and her husband have a small olive grove. Despite not being a fan of olives herself, she hopes to one day harvest them if she can keep the birds off them long enough! Life on the land is shared with their three lively dogs, who ensure there’s never a dull moment. Meticulous and approachable, Aleyce brings the same energy and care to her clients’ matters as she does to her own patch of countryside.
