Amanda is a Legal Assistant who supports members of our Litigation & Local Government team with a wide range of tasks – from preparing and drafting court documents to compiling evidence exhibits and casebooks for hearings and trials in courtrooms across New Zealand. In addition, she manages diaries, appointments and billing, liaises with clients, other solicitors and government departments. By keeping these important processes running smoothly, Amanda helps our team meet tight deadlines and navigate high-pressure situations with confidence.
Originally from South Africa, Amanda brought with her 12 years of law firm experience when she moved to New Zealand in 2023. She joined CLM in 2025 and thrives on the adrenaline and urgency that comes with life in a busy law firm. Her approach is defined by precision, meticulous attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines, all delivered with a calm and reliable presence. Colleagues know her as hardworking, thorough and consistently dependable.
Since moving to Tauranga, Amanda and her family are fully embracing the region’s outdoor lifestyle. Weekends are often spent on the water, fishing for snapper (and dreaming of catching a kingfish), waterskiing on Rotorua’s lakes, or mountain biking in the Redwoods. She also enjoys spending time with her two teenage boys who are thriving in New Zealand’s wide-open spaces.
