She thrives on the precision her work demands, and has a particular fondness for the formality of probate documents – especially the occasional Latin phrase that pops up. Fiona enjoys the history behind wills, seeing them not just as legal paperwork, but as a centuries-old tradition of capturing a person’s intentions. Having started her legal career at age 18, Fiona has nearly 30 years of experience across law firms in Auckland, London and Tauranga. In the office, she’s also known for her impressive latte intake – usually more milk than actual coffee – which keeps her energised, focused and ready to tackle new probate files that can appear on her desk at a moment’s notice.
After kissing Auckland’s traffic chaos goodbye, Fiona is now embracing Tauranga’s coastal lifestyle with her partner and young daughter. She likes to spend any spare time at the beach or enjoying a yoga class. She’s a summer person at heart, and loves being by the water to recharge.
