Gemma is the engine room of CLM’s Corporate & Commercial team – the one making sure the wheels don’t fall off when deadlines loom. She wrangles diaries, preps loan forms, files annual returns, updates Companies Office records, and makes sure deeds are exactly where they should be. She also handles the critical details of anti-money laundering compliance and helps draft documents when deadlines are tight. If it needs doing, chances are Gemma’s already onto it.
Her colleagues value her logical thinking, quick problem-solving and knack for keeping busy lawyers on track. Billing, reminders, client admin, you name it – she makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. For Gemma, the wide variety of daily tasks keeps her motivated. No two days look the same, and she thrives on the mental stimulation of untangling problems and finding practical solutions.
Before moving into law, Gemma lived a life that most people only dream about. She worked as an international flight attendant, a stewardess on luxury superyachts, and spent years travelling overseas. From scuba diving to charters through the Mediterranean, her passport is well-used and well-loved.
These days Gemma calls the Bay of Plenty home. Outside of work she enjoys walking her dogs and keeping fit.
