Gemma has a knack for turning technical property law into practical advice. She works across residential and commercial property transactions, financing, subdivisions and land development. Whether a client is buying a new home, converting a cross-lease to freehold, carving off part of their backyard, or delivering a large-scale subdivision, Gemma makes the process straightforward.
She thrives on the detective work that often comes with property law, whether it’s piecing together decades-old land titles, working through easements or untangling subdivision issues. But the greatest satisfaction comes from helping clients understand exactly what it all means for them.
Buying or selling property is often the biggest financial decision people will ever make, and Gemma understands how daunting that can feel. If a legal document looks confusing, she’ll explain it in everyday language. More often than not, what looks like a complex clause in a document is simply a shared driveway or another practical arrangement rather than something to lose sleep over. Her goal is to replace uncertainty with confidence so clients can focus on the excitement of what’s ahead.
Outside of work, Gemma has played football since she was five and recently joined Tauranga City Football Club. She still serves on the board of her former club in Cambridge and enjoys giving back to the game. More recently, she has taken up triathlons, embracing the challenge of a new discipline. Her competitive spirit means if there’s an office challenge or social sporting event on the calendar, she won’t be there just to make up the numbers.
