As an endurance athlete and commercial lawyer, Georgia knows a thing or two about navigating challenges with grit and positivity. Just as she trains for mountain runs and long-distance cycling, she brings the same energy and focus to her work in corporate and commercial law.

Clients rely on her to handle the purchase or sale of a business, put finance and lending arrangements in place, assist with capital raising, draft governance documents such as shareholders agreements or constitutions, and navigate shareholder disputes. She often works alongside CLM’s other practice teams to help untangle commercial interests in relationship property disputes or estate matters. Georgia has a gift for explaining complex situations in plain English so clients feel informed, calm, and in control. She enjoys sitting down with business owners to understand what makes their companies tick, and helping them grow sustainably while managing their legal risks.

Known for her positivity and energy, Georgia is deeply involved in firm life. She’s a member of our Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Women’s Group, and Christmas Committee. Whether it’s advising on shareholder agreements or organising Matariki celebrations, Georgia’s hard work, approachability, honesty and enthusiasm is valued by her colleagues.

Outside of work, Georgia typically trains six days a week (often before and after work)! In February 2025 she and a teammate took on New Zealand’s most iconic endurance race – the mighty Coast to Coast. She now plans to compete as a solo athlete in 2027 and has well and truly caught the endurance bug.
