UK-qualified lawyer Kelly Bek worked for a leading London firm before moving to New Zealand to join CLM in 2009. With two decades of property law expertise, she advises on every aspect of residential and commercial conveyancing, financing and refinancing, subdivisions, residential building contracts and land acquisition. Acting for both developer/builder clients and private individuals, Kelly balances large-scale projects with the unique needs of first-home buyers and property investors.

Long-standing relationships with many of her clients means she can often anticipate instructions before they’re even given – a testament to her thoroughness, attention to detail, clear advice and practical solutions. Whether navigating legislative changes, negotiating with lenders, or updating agreements to reflect the latest legal requirements, Kelly’s goal is always the same: to act with integrity and ensure her clients’ wellbeing.

Kelly is regarded as a safe pair of hands around our office, and a supportive colleague who always makes time to listen and guide others. For her, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing tangible results such as an entire subdivision taking shape – proof that boring legal paperwork can have a very satisfying ending!

Originally from Manchester and raised in Wales, Kelly moved to New Zealand to embrace the Bay of Plenty lifestyle. Outside of work, she’s happiest outdoors and can be found coaching young Bellevue Athletics Club members once a week at Tauranga Domain. A former Welsh representative in the heptathlon and high jump, Kelly still considers the track to be her happy place.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons), PG Dip Law, University of Birmingham | Qualified in England and Wales
