Nellie first joined CLM as a summer clerk in late 2024 and made such an impression that we hired her the moment she finished law school. Advocating for people and their families is what truly drives her, and today she assists our Family Law team with separations, relationship property, estate disputes, court preparation and other family matters. From drafting agreements to sitting in on client meetings and researching key points of law, Nellie brings energy, empathy and sharp thinking to every task, and is working towards becoming a solicitor in 2026.
Colleagues say Nellie is a walking ray of sunshine – endlessly upbeat and guaranteed to brighten any room. She’s positive, eager to learn and admired for her genuine care for colleagues and clients alike. She lives by the principle of treating others how she would want to be treated herself – combining professionalism with warmth and clear communication. A proud advocate for inclusivity, Nellie also leads CLM’s neurodivergence focus group to raise awareness and champion change that will help both staff and clients thrive.
Her list of personal hobbies is as hectic as her day job. One night she’ll be rolling dice in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, and the next she’ll be spinning around a dance floor doing modern jive. She loves to ski, perform musical theatre and read non-fiction (the weirder, the better). Her ADHD is a source of pride, giving her the focus to research topics in forensic detail, and is the driving force behind her boundless energy, curiosity and advocacy. For Nellie, life’s far too interesting to sit still for long.
