Ruby joined CLM in October 2025, bringing her energy, enthusiasm and people-first approach to our Property & Development team. She handles all types of residential and commercial property transactions, as well as lease arrangements, and helps clients navigate the often tight timelines. Ruby prides herself on making the process understandable and manageable, breaking everything down into clear, bite-sized steps so clients can feel confident and informed every step of the way.
Her journey into law was anything but ordinary. Ruby had just one week on Waikato University’s campus before New Zealand went into its first lockdown in 2020. She persevered with her studies online and during the final two years of her degree she gained practical experience working full-time at a law firm in Tauranga, progressing from reception to law clerk and, finally, solicitor.
Colleagues say Ruby’s friendliness and lively energy are contagious. She’s quickly made her mark at CLM with her approachable, supportive style and unwavering commitment to clients. She gives every single task 100% effort and is a trusted, dynamic adviser who can make the legal journey feel much less stressful and even a little fun along the way.
Away from work, Ruby is happiest when near water. She grew up around Whitianga and spends her weekends surfing, fishing or diving with her partner from their boat. She enjoys walking up Mauao, catching up over coffee with friends, and travelling – in 2025 she explored Europe for three months, soaking in lots of new sights and experiences.
