Tom is CLM’s IT Systems Engineer who quietly keeps our firm’s digital world humming so people can focus on their work without disruption. He ensures CLM’s laptops, phones, software, and networks run smoothly – whether it’s creating new user accounts, configuring software installations, or troubleshooting a printer that refuses to cooperate. From small fixes like replacing rechargeable batteries in a desk phone to complex firewall issues, Tom ensures both simple and technical problems are solved efficiently so those around him can focus on solving legal problems for our clients.

Since joining CLM in 2023, Tom has been involved in the rollout of several major IT projects, including our firm’s new practice management system in 2025. He works closely with our IT Manager to implement changes, communicate with staff, and maintain a strong cyber security perspective on everything our firm does. Known for his curiosity and thorough approach, Tom investigates every issue to its root, making him a go-to problem-solver around our office. He genuinely enjoys helping others and works hard to improve things for his colleagues to make life easier and more efficient.

Before his IT career, Tom was a marine electrician, wiring boats and installing sonar and radar systems in Tauranga. He retrained in IT during the Global Financial Crisis and now has many years of experience in systems engineering and administration.

After hours, Tom is a keen soccer player (turning out several times a week for Waipuna Football Club), and is a long-suffering but loyal Warriors supporter. He enjoys DIY projects around the house and spending time outdoors with his energetic springer spaniel, Georgie.
