Peter is a founding member of our Property & Development team and has been with CLM for over three decades. Now a Special Counsel, he has expertise in land developments, acquisitions, and sales. Peter works with large-scale developers and corporate clients to transform undeveloped land into subdivided sections ready for the market. He focuses on practical, straightforward solutions that keep complex (and often multi-year) projects moving forward efficiently.
Always aiming for a fuss-free and calm approach, Peter takes pride in finding the simplest path to navigate difficult problems. He enjoys delivering tangible results, negotiating win-win outcomes for clients and landowners alike, and resolving disputes quickly and fairly.
Market pressures, tight deadlines, and financial targets may define his clients’ projects, but he remains unfazed – a measured approach honed over decades of experience. Off the clock, Peter is all about family, friends and enjoying the Bay of Plenty lifestyle. At weekends his focus shifts to good food and good company, often with a barbecue sizzling away in the background. Now that his kids have flown the nest, he and his wife are happily embracing their next chapter – with his biggest concern being whether the steak is cooked just right on the grill.
