Welcoming Patrick Anderson to CLM's Partner Team

We are thrilled to share news that Patrick Anderson is now a Partner at Cooney Lees Morgan, having made an enormous contribution to our firm in recent years.

Patrick first joined our Litigation & Local Government team in early 2019 as a Senior Solicitor before working his way up to Senior Associate level. Partnership has always been his dream and it’s an accomplishment he is immensely proud of.

“I’m very excited to join CLM’s partnership. It’s been quite a busy couple of years, with the team having received some fantastic results, so it’s nice to have some recognition for that and be entrusted to help see the firm into the future,” he says.

Managing Partner, Paul Tustin, describes Patrick as an outstanding lawyer who possesses strong leadership, technical and communication skills. “He displays a high degree of integrity and is always fully committed to getting the best outcome for his clients. Everyone at CLM knows they can rely on him to provide a fresh perspective and share his considerable knowledge, particularly around employment law and civil litigation.

“We are delighted to welcome him to CLM’s partnership and this achievement is testament to his ambition, talent and the commitment he has shown to furthering his own knowledge and expertise over the past decade.”

Patrick will become the tenth member of CLM’s partner team and will now focus on expanding our firm’s client base and building on our solid reputation for excellence.

“As a new Partner, I’m excited to get more involved in the business development side of things. That said, getting results for clients is first and foremost what drives me. So exposing our team members to complex disputes and helping them to develop their litigation skills, and growing our client base in the process, is what I’m most excited about.”

Patrick holds a Master of Laws (University of Auckland) and has had a number of articles published by the New Zealand Law Journal in recent years. He’s benefited from great mentors throughout each stage of his career, and he thoroughly enjoys mentoring and supervising the next generation of lawyers coming up through our ranks.
