I’m a Bay of Plenty local who, after living in big cities around the world, has seen the light and returned home. I’m one of four boys who grew up on the shores of Ohope beach before heading down to the Deep South to study at the University of Otago.

I work in the Property & Development Team and live and breathe anything to do with property.  I have always had an interest in property, and have been an active property investor myself for the last 6 years.

I have experience working for some of the largest law firms in the world and have now brought that experience back to the Bay. I have extensive property development experience  in the areas of residential, office, retail and industrial and have been involved in some of the biggest developments in Australasia over the last couple of years.  While much of my experience has been in relation to property law, I also have significant experience in corporate acquisitions, disposals, governance, securities law and family trust related matters. 

The best career advice I was ever given is that knowledge of the law is useless without an understanding of your client’s business and what they are trying to achieve. Despite the fact that I genuinely enjoy getting to know my clients, this is something I focus on every day in my professional life.

Outside of work I enjoy fishing, diving, snowboarding, mountain biking and generally anything outdoors. I am proud to have represented New Zealand at the University World Winter Games for Snowboarding.
