Qualifications

LLB and BA majoring in Psychology and Human Services

I came to Cooney Lees Morgan initially in 2019 as a Summer Clerk.

Once graduated in 2020 I worked in a general practice firm in Christchurch for 2 years, where I assisted clients with conveyancing transactions, trust set up and ongoing maintenance, Wills and relationship property matters. I then wanted to get some commercial experience and worked in a family horticulture business as a Commercial Advisor up until early 2024.

Having travelled to Sydney I decided to work for a short time  with  a corporate / commercial online law firm.  I  assisted small businesses which ranged from initial start up’s to more established businesses. Here I provided a range of legal advice to clients on their business structure and set up, capital raising, shareholder arrangements and employee share schemes.  I also advised clients on a range of service agreements and intellectual property matters along with suitable not for profit structures for their proposed model and applications to register as charities.

Now having returned back to NZ  I'm excited to start cementing my knowledge.  Cooneys will be able to offer me a range of experience in different areas including conveyancing, trusts, relationship property and corporate and commercial areas of law, due to me being part of this team. I'm especially interested in the horticulture / viticulture sector and looking forward to helping clients and their legal needs within this area.

Outside work I love to exercise, read a good book, get outside to enjoy the sunshine, and catch up with family and friends now that I am back in the Bay.
