Our employment team provides the full spectrum of employment law services. We handle everything from personal grievance claims and applications for injunctive relief (such as interim reinstatement, freezing orders and enforcement of undertakings), to drafting employment agreements and managing collective bargaining. We provide guidance on performance management, advise on sensitive matters like dismissals, redundancies, and workplace harassment, and address wage disputes, restraints of trade and independent contractor arrangements. We strive for efficient, favourable resolutions wherever possible but if that is not achievable, our seasoned litigators are prepared to represent you through mediation, Employment Relations Authority hearings and Employment Court proceedings.
Health and Safety
Our health and safety team provides support to clients when navigating the complexity and risks of health and safety law. We advise clients who are facing investigations or prosecution. We also provide advice on compliance and preventive measures, including management of workplace safety and risk assessments. Our focus is to help our clients to minimise risk, safeguard people and protect their businesses. Our team has specialist expertise in health and safety law. In his early career, Adam Hopkinson conducted prosecutions for health and safety offences. Victoria Brewer is a former Crown prosecutor who is experienced in health and safety investigations, and Patrick Anderson has extensive experience assisting employers in this area of law.
