PMG Charitable Trust

The purpose behind PMG Charitable Trust is to help build financial futures of young NZ’rs through education, connection and collaboration and the Trust achieves this by being involved in and supporting Life Education Trust NZ, Graeme Dingle Foundation and the Victoria Student Fund.  The PMG Chartable Trust focuses on schools by targeting Year 10 student at the age of 14-15 and also collaborates with organisations working with 18-25 year old school leavers as well as disadvantaged and disengaged young people.

One of the charities goals at present is to develop a digital financial literacy tool to help reach these target audiences.  Financial Literacy for children was the major reason that Cooneys looked seriously at joining other like minded businesses and individuals in sponsoring the PMG Charitable Trust.  With our country facing financial inequality we too felt that our children are not being prepared from a young age to understand and have the monetary skills to cope with an uncertain future.
