I joined Cooney Lees Morgan in 1996 and have been a partner since 1999. I work predominantly with large commercial organisations, including local authorities and mid-sized businesses across many different sectors of the economy. Prior to joining the firm I spent five years in a commercial law team with Russell McVeagh in Wellington.

I’m particularly interested in helping businesses do business with others, whether they’re contracting services, gaining access to IP, embarking on a joint-venture, setting up a franchise network, buying another business, buying land or other property, or entering an agreement with a major customer. A large part of my role involves advising clients on compliance issues, risk management and business structures.

My wife, Sam, and I have two children. We are active members of the community, particularly in the Omanu area where we live. My other interests include regular walking up Mauao, swimming, snow-skiing and wine.
