Victoria is an experienced litigator who specializes in environmental prosecutions. She began practice as a Crown prosecutor in Wellington, before moving to the Bay of Plenty in 2013.
Victoria acts predominantly for local authorities, helping them to investigate and take enforcement action when rules and regulations aren’t followed, such as environmental breaches, unconsented building work, unlawful land use or development, dangerous dogs, and other bylaw or regulatory infringements. Her work spans environmental non-compliance across a wide variety of industries, from forestry and dairy farming to kiwifruit orchards, quarrying, maritime operations, property development and factory emissions.
In addition to regulatory enforcement and prosecutions. Victoria also advises clients on civil liability, health and safety, transport law, debt recovery and information requests under the Official Information Act, Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act and the Coroners Act.
